This position supports K-12 students with special needs in a full-time, contract role located in Kenner, LA. The assignment runs through the current school year, with two openings available. The role focuses on developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to address the diverse learning, behavioral, and physical needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, monitor, and adjust IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Modify and adapt instructional plans to meet students unique requirements.
- Support students educational progress and advocate for their needs within the school environment.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration.
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana teaching license in special education.
- Teaching All Tracks (TAT) certification required.
- Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff.
